Our doctrinal belief is based on our faith in Jesus Christ and the Holy scriptures. Followers of Christ have been taught and encouraged to study God’s word in order to strengthen their personal relationship with God. Please take a moment and review our beliefs, which are based solely on the Holy Scriptures.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE that Jesus is the son of God; was born of a virgin (Mary); and was sent here on earth to die for the forgiveness of our sins, if we believe in Him, so that we can be reconciled with God the Father (Isa. 7:14; John 3:16)
WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the Holy word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit given through man for mankind, so that we would have a written document that provides us with instruction on how we should conduct ourselves; and treat God and one another. This ultimately will cause us to want to enter into an eternal relationship with our Heavenly Father (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 1 Corinthians 2:13).
WE BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross; was buried in a tomb and stayed there for three days. But after those three days, He rose with all power in His hands; and did appear to His followers here on earth one last time, before ascending to Heaven to take His seat at the right hand of His Father (Eph. 1:20).
WE BELIEVE that water baptism is an act of obedience to the believer because it is an outward expression of what the Holy Spirit has already done within us. And through our confession of sin and asking God for forgiveness, we extend an invitation to Christ to come and live in our hearts, where we give Him authority over our lives (John 3: 5-8).
WE BELIEVE that the only way to obtain salvation and enter into an eternal relationship with God the Father is through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 14: 6).
WE BELIEVE in the sanctity of the traditional biblical institution of marriage, which is between a man and woman (Gen. 2:18, 21-24)
